WHERE WILL PEACE ISLAND MEDICAL CENTER BE LOCATED?

After thoroughly investigation several possible sites for the new medical center, PeaceHealth has purchased a 22 acre property at 1049 San Juan Valley Road, adjacent to the airport. This property is just minutes from central Friday Harbor and is well located for efficient off-island transport for those patients needing immediate advanced treatment on the mainland. The property will house the combined clinic, outpatient, and Critical Access Hospital facility and offers space for expansion when necessary. Also on site will be the new Emergency Medical Services building, allowing EMS to work in close coordination with the Emergency Room of the hospital.

Architectural planning for the new integrated medical center will focus on designing a building that will take advantage of the beauty of the site and reflect the culture of the San Juan Islands community. The facility will foster highest quality medical care in a warm and welcoming environment with flexibility to adapt to changing medical technology and community needs.
